ACL has a long history of supplying gaskets, engine parts and belts to the New Zealand automotive industry. Formed in 1965 as PAYEN New Zealand Ltd, the company manufactured and imported automotive gaskets. In 1988 the company was purchased by Automotive Components Limited, an Australian based manufacturer of pistons, piston rings, bearings and gaskets for vehicle engines. In March 1989 PAYEN New Zealand became Automotive Components NZ Limited and in October 2006 moved to a modern manufacturing and distribution facility in Avondale, Auckland. ACL New Zealand now operates as a division of the ABD Group and is proudly 100% locally owned and operated.
